The best fantasy soccer tips 2021

The Fantasy Football Bible Draft includes the top candidates for SportsLine’s 2021 Fantasy Football Negative Regression:

Adam Thielen, WR, Minnesota Vikings: For the first half of 2020, Thielen was Kirk Cousins’ main target on Minnesota’s offensive as it got used to life without Stefon Diggs. That changed when Justin Jefferson showed up. Jefferson had a target share of 26.4 percent as of week 11, compared to just 19.8 percent for Thielen during that period. Jefferson was also adopted as the top red zone target late in the season and saw almost twice as many looks compared to Thielen. Thielen is now 31 years old and will clearly take a step back.

Will Fuller, WR, Miami Dolphins: Fuller will be seated due to suspension in Week 1 so he will already be playing from behind. He’s also moving from the clear top target of a well-made Texan team to a much worse situation in Miami. DeVante Parker has already established itself as a top destination and the Dolphins invested a top 10 pick in Jaylen Waddle. Additionally, Fuller’s numbers were backfilled by the Texans last year – a scenario where the dolphins won’t be as regular in 2021.

Robert Tonyan, TE, Green Bay Packers: Tonyan scored 11 touchdowns in 52 receptions last year. This relationship is almost impossible to replicate. Five of these results came in the first three weeks as well, making his numbers over the season seem more impressive than what fantasy players actually got for much of the season. Add in the immense uncertainty surrounding Aaron Rodgers and the quarterback situation, and Tonyan is unlikely to get the same fantasy effect in 2021.
