Andy Dalton 2021 Fantasy Soccer Statistics Projections
The Chicago Bears were clearly not thrilled with the quarterback game they saw in 2020. Mitch Trubisky earned the start nod but then lost it after battling the Falcons in Week 3. Though it was at that time by Matt. the right call seemed to be Nagy, I still think Trubisky got on the hook a little early. Nick Foles came in and rallied the team to a 30-26 win over the Falcons. He was then named a starter.
However, Foles struggled too – he only won two of the seven games he started (sort of one against Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Bucs). Mitch Trubisky was then brought back and showed an admirable performance, albeit against some weaker defensive opponents. Trubisky led the team to a 3-3 record despite having a more offensive production and goals.
Nick Foles is still on the roster as the third string quarterback, but the team has redesigned the rest of the quarterback room. Ryan Pace and Matt Nagy signed Andy Dalton to a $ 10 million one-year contract. The team was also fortunate enough to be able to advance in the first round of the 2021 NFL draft and select Justin Fields. One would assume that Dalton (‘QB1’) would start the season and only lose the job if he struggled mightily. But that may not be the case.
According to reports, Matt Nagy won’t ditch Justin Fields just to sit him down. If Fields proves himself early enough, he could be the starter in Week 1. Honestly, I won’t count on it as I believe Andy Dalton will get the first nod. However, where does it go for the 2021 season and is it worth owning in the fantasy?
