Kharee Louis-Jeune, 33, has also been charged with possession of child pornography, authorities said.

A volunteer football coach from Brockton was charged with child rape, among other things, according to the authorities.

Kharee Louis-Jeune, 33, of Brockton, was arrested after authorities obtained a search warrant on his home Thursday, Boston police said. He is charged with rape of a child, trafficking in human beings for sexual servitude, possession of child pornography, luring a child, and blackmailing through threats of injury. He is due to be tried in Dorchester District Court.

The warrant was issued in response to an ongoing investigation into illegal sexual activity, including child rape and possession and distribution of child pornography, according to Boston Police. The investigation was conducted by detectives from the Boston Police Crimes Against Children Unit.

According to an arrest report quoted by NBC10 Boston, many of the charges stemmed from an alleged previous relationship between Louis-Jeune and the victim, who was 15 when the couple started dating a few years ago, the news channel reported.

According to NBC10, Louis-Jeune volunteered to coach high school football.

“It’s worrying because it’s so close to home,” Ivanilda Nascimento, who graduated from Brockton High School, told the news channel.

Brockton Superintendent Mike Thomas said in a statement that Louis-Jeune passed a CORI review before being allowed to volunteer. He also said the victim is not attending Brockton schools.

“In his role as a volunteer trainer, this employee would normally not have unsupervised contact with our student athletes,” said Thomas.
