Florida State Seminoles College Football 2021 Preview: Offense

– Nothing worked right until the end. The Florida state crime had a few moments when it looked like something was going to happen, but the O had one of the worst passing attacks in the nation, the game in progress couldn’t get past it, and the goal was a problem.

There were shipyards, but there weren’t enough third-party conversions, and developing clutch drives was like pulling teeth. There is experience now and there are more than enough options, but it’s Florida State. It should be better offensive.

– So what was the problem? It started at the end of the Jimbo Fisher era, wasn’t fixed by Willie Taggart, and was a big problem in Mike Norvell’s first year – this program just can’t get the offensive line right.

The game in progress wasn’t terrible, but too many games were allowed behind the line and, like everywhere on the O, there wasn’t enough consistency. All five starters are expected to be in a particular configuration again, and there is hope for the depth developed as well.

Jashaun Corbin led all the running backs with 401 yards and five points, but runner-up La’Damian Webb joined Troy. Auburn Transfer DJ Williams should help and the quick Lawrance Toafili should break out.

– How healthy is McKenzie Milton? The former UCF star is still coming back from a terrible leg injury, and the hope – it would be one of the best stories of college football season – is he’ll be ready to take on the quarterback job this fall.

However, Jordan Travis will play even if he’s not the starter. He led the crowd with 559 yards and seven points, but as a passerby he was a hit or miss. Former quarterback James Blackman moved to the state of Arkansas.

The experience is there to aid the passing game. Leading receiver Ontaria Wilson is back after 31 passes, Camren McDonald is a good looking close end, and fast-paced Keyshawn Helton needs the ball more. Kansas transfer Andrew Parchment will also be in rotation immediately.
