Dieudonne named Alleman’s subsequent soccer coach | Excessive College Soccer – QCVarsity.com

The 42-year-old Dieudonne comes to Alleman with over 20 years of coaching experience and is grateful for the opportunity to become head coach.

“A few years ago I thought my chance to become a football head coach was over,” said the St. Ambrose University graduate in Evanston, Illinois. “In the end I returned to St. Ambrose and worked at the university for three years and never really thought that I would one day take a job as head coach. When I heard about this possibility, it was exciting. “

Dieudonne lands in the program at a unique time. The inventory in the proverbial football cupboard will be rather sparse – from both a player and a coach’s point of view. The Pioneers completed 14 players from a 25-man squad that ended 3-3 this spring. In addition, up to seven trainers have left the program.

Dieudonne said he started reaching out to coaches associated with the program but those numbers were falling. Two of Depoorter’s top assistants are no longer in the program – offensive coordinator Mike Tracey has retired and Dave DeJaegher, who apparently is no longer at the school, also retired from coaching, according to Iles. Defensive coordinator Steve Ebner is also believed to be planning to step down.

Iles said there was a staff of 11 or 12 coaches – including volunteers.

Dieudonne also noted that he was “targeting” someone he would like to have on the sidelines next to him but would not confirm who it was as he tries to deploy his staff when most coaches get into their roles have settled in and the teams go into the fall season.
