Excessive Faculty Soccer: 100 days earlier than kick-off, the MaxPreps Prime 25 preseason will probably be launched on June 23rd
With the spring seasons adjusted due to the pandemic coming to an end in some regions of the country, high school football is expected to return to its normal time slot this fall. We hope that all of the things that make Prep Football a community event on Friday night can return – bands, cheerleaders, student sections, and of course fans.
Kickoff is 100 days away in many states and we will officially count down to the highly anticipated high school football season in history with the release of our MaxPreps Top 25 preseason on June 23rd.
At a glance, the nation’s elite programs follow breakdowns of the top teams in each state, the biggest games, the toughest schedules, and the top players in each position. Our preview of 2021 ends in late July with the release of our All-America teams in the preseason.
Most states have confirmed start dates for the 2021 season. The earliest schedule is Hawaii on August 6th, followed by Alaska and Utah the following week. The season will really pick up speed from August 20-21. More than a dozen states start this weekend.
Last year, Utah started on August 13th and was one of 35 states to end the season in the fall. Of these, 31 were crowned national champions.
