Faculty Soccer Information exhibits a preview of the season

South Carolina football begins its season on September 4th.

South Carolina football is in its freshman year under head coach Shane Beamer, preparing for a season opening game against Eastern Illinois in early September. The spring exercises are over, which means that it is now “talking season”. And there’s a lot to talk about when it comes to the Gamecocks.

How will the team develop under a coach in the first year? How does defense replace production downtime? Can Luke Doty commit a crime that ended up being on the SEC last season? Who appears at wideout?

All of these questions are valid concerns, but some of the answers are becoming more and more obvious to the Gamecocks as the opener gets closer. The spring training gave us a first glimpse of what the offensive and defensive units will look like under new coordinators. We know that the coaching team has confidence in their second signal caller and calls Doty the QB1 starting the summer. We also know he’ll have a ton of help behind the scenes between Kevin Harris, MarShawn Lloyd, and ZaQuandre White.

As things get clearer and clearer, the college football outlets begin creating season previews and predictions for the program in relation to the ’21 season, including college football news.

The website recently unveiled their South Carolina Season Guide, which outlines key players, schedule analysis, and a profit / loss forecast. Let’s dive into the preview to see how high they go on the Gamecocks and Coach Beamer.
