Faculty Soccer World is responding to Michigan’s new pointers

Ohio State has absolutely dominated its rivalry with Michigan lately. The Buckeyes have won eight straight games against the Wolverines and 15 of their last 16 games in the rivalry.

While most of this is likely due to Ohio State having better players – especially on the skill positions – some might argue that the Buckeyes take the rivalry more seriously than the Wolverines.

Jim Tressel and Urban Meyer really made it clear how important “The Game” is. Tressel gave the famous guarantee before his first season and Meyer refused to say the word “Michigan” and even banned the color blue in his interior.

Michigan seems to have been going in a similar direction lately.

The Wolverines have a new sign at their facility that says “What are you doing today to beat Ohio State?” Michigan has also reportedly banned the color red from its facility – including sports drinks.

“No red is allowed in the facilities … you can’t even drink red Gatorade.”

While some make fun of it, others appreciate it. After all, things like that help make college football rivalries great.

In the end. Every little bit helps. https://t.co/Z3fct11DJx

Was getting disappointed with Harbaugh and the fact that he didn’t take rivalry games seriously. I love this change. https://t.co/Kz8HJGqdpk

Ohio State fans now believe this stinks of desperation.

Regardless, it’s certainly another fun fold on the rivalry.

Ohio State and Michigan are due to meet in Ann Arbor on Saturday, November 27th. The kick-off is scheduled for noon ET and the game will be broadcast on FOX.
