Fantasy Soccer Rankings 2021: sleepers, breakouts, busts of the identical mannequin who nailed Allen’s huge yr
After two boring seasons in New England producing only 414 yards, wide receiver N’Keal Harry has officially requested a swap. The first round pick of 2019 was the second wide receiver to be drafted this year, but ranked 14th among receivers in its class. The Patriots chose Harry over the likes of DK Metcalf, AJ Brown and Terry McLaurin. Harry was one of the fantasy football busts but hopes a change of scenery could improve his fortune.
If Harry changes teams and moves on to a more passable offensive, he may reach his potential and become one of the 2021 Fantasy Soccer Sleepers. He is currently buried in the 2021 Fantasy Soccer Rankings as a result of one of Cam Newton and / or Mac Jones led Patriots transitional assault, not much is expected. Last year, the model accurately predicted that Bill’s quarterback Josh Allen was drastically undervalued. His fantasy football ADP was barely in the top 70, but the model considered him one of the top five fantasy quarterbacks, a QB1 that would finish well ahead of players like Kyler Murray, Tom Brady, and Drew Brees. Allen was number 2 at the end of Fantasy QB, beating all three of these other quarterbacks, and even surpassing Patrick Mahomes. Fantasy players who followed SportsLine’s advice have reaped a lot of value with this selection.
The same model has a proven track record of providing fantasy football tips, identifying AJ Brown as another sleeper in 2020 and players like Devin Singletary and JuJu Smith-Schuster as busts last season. In addition, it says former fantasy football sleepers like Derrick Henry in 2019, Christian McCaffrey and Alvin Kamara in 2018 and Davante Adams in 2017. Anyone who bet on players like these ran for their championship title.
The model is run by the same people who made projections for all three of the major fantasy sites, and it beat human experts last season when there was a big difference in ranking. The projections are updated several times a day so you always get the best fantasy soccer tips.
Now SportsLine has simulated the entire NFL season 10,000 times and released its latest fantasy soccer rankings in 2021, along with lots of sleepers, breakouts and busts. Now go to SportsLine to see them.
The best fantasy soccer sleepers 2021
One of the 2021 fantasy football sleepers the model predicts: Broncos running back Melvin Gordon. The 28-year-old veteran flew under the radar in his first season in Denver, racing for 986 yards and nine touchdowns. He also finished last season with 32 receptions for 158 yards and one more points. Gordon produced these numbers while sharing work with Phillip Lindsay, who is now a member of the Houston Texans.
Gordon has scored at least nine touchdowns and an average of at least 75 yards per game in each of his last five seasons. Gordon is likely to start the 2021 season at the top of the Denver running back depth chart, but owners are sleeping on him again. In fact, Gordon currently has a Fantasy Football ADP of 76.77 in 2021. However, SportsLine’s model says Gordon will outperform other running backs like Kareem Hunt, Leonard Fournette and Mike Davis, all of whom will be drafted before Gordon.
The best fantasy soccer breakouts of 2021
The model also projects jaguars running Travis Etienne back as one of his top fantasy football breakouts in 2021. Jacksonville spent number 25 in the NFL Draft to reunite Etienne with college quarterback Trevor Lawrence, whom the Jaguars had picked with number 1 overall. Their familiarity has even prompted Urban Meyer to express the desire to play Etienne on the outside of the wide receiver this season.
After catching just 12 passes for 78 yards in his sophomore year while running 1,658 yards in his sophomore year, Etienne made a concerted effort to improve as a receiver, catching 85 passes for 1,020 yards and six in his last two seasons with Clemson Touchdowns while charging 2,528 yards and 33 more points. Etienne’s Burst was meant to be used in a number of ways in Meyer’s Offense, a big reason the model ranked him ahead of third-round picks like JK Dobbins, even though he was available in the fifth round.
The best fantasy soccer busts 2021
As for players to avoid, the model lists Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts as one of his top fantasy football busts in 2021. The 2019 Heisman runner-up started the last four games for Philadelphia last year, taking a bunch of snaps in three of them. Over these three he averaged 282.3 passing yards, 79.3 rushing yards and made a total of six touchdowns.
However, one of Hurts’ greatest fantasy strengths, his legs, could be negated in the offense of new coach Nick Sirianni. When he started installing the offense, there weren’t many run-pass options. The former Colts offensive coordinator didn’t use these often, even when he had mobile quarterbacks like Andrew Luck and Jacoby Brissett.
Another blow to Hurts’ fantasy football prospect for 2021 is that Sirianni prefers to lean on the running game as the Colts have been in the top 10 in a rush for the past two years. The Eagles added Kerryon Johnson, Jordan Howard and rookie Kenneth Gainwell to a backfield that already included Miles Sanders and Boston Scott. Philadelphia appears poised to rely heavily on its running backs in 2021, which is why the model places Hurts behind Trevor Lawrence, who has a lower 2021 Fantasy Football ADP.
