Fayetteville Excessive College Soccer nice inducted into the WVSACA Corridor of Fame
CHARLESTON, WV (WOAY) – During halftime of the North-South Football Classic, three new members were inducted into the Hall of Fame for the West Virginia Schools Athletic Coaches Association.
This included Jody McKown, a retired all-state football player from Fayetteville High School. After an excellent preparatory career in three different sports, McKown became Letterman in football at West Virginia University for four years. He was part of the 1981 Mountaineers team that defeated Florida in the Peach Bowl.
The introduction marked a full circle for McKown, who took part in the 1977 North-South Classic.
Other newcomers were Mike McCoy (Parkersburg High School and Marshall University) and Ron Terry (Buffalo-Wayne High School).
