First and Fisher: 10th Anniversary of the Excessive College Soccer America Radio Present

Ten years ago today, we took one of our biggest steps forward when the High School Football America Radio Show debuted on the Artist First Radio Network. The show, which became the who’s who of high school football, aired weekly until 2017.

To celebrate this momentous event on July 21, 2011, I thought it would be fun to do a Rewind Wednesday for this first show.

This is how I described the first show on the ArtistFirst website:

Host Jeff Fisher speaks at the opening show of High School Football America Brad Igou, Soccer coach Barrow High School in Barrow, Alaska and his assistant Brian Houston on the start of the 2011 high school football season on July 26th in the country’s 49th state. Barrow is the only school that plays 11-man soccer over the Arctic Circle.

Also in the show: Steve Spiewak from speaking about its Preseason Top 25 Early Contenders Poll; Scott Young, Football coach of West Rowan High School in Mount Ulla, North Carolina, whose team has won three consecutive 3-A state titles and has a winning streak of 46 games; and Brandon Sheppard, Executive Director of the National Select 7-on-7 Championship.
