Mitch Fortner to be PA spokesperson for Okay-State soccer video games | Okay-state sports activities
A new voice will be heard from the speakers at Bill Snyder Family Stadium during the Kansas state soccer game this fall.
Mitch Fortner will be the new public address speaker at K-State home football games. He replaces Dave Lewis, who held the role from 2006 to 2020.
Fortner previously served as a broadcaster for K-State soccer games. In a tweet announcing the news on Monday, Fortner said that not only would he be taking over the K-State’s home soccer games, but he would also become a radio drama announcer for Manhattan High soccer games.
The decision to pursue these new jobs and leave K-State football behind was not an easy one for Fortner.
“That was a very difficult decision,” wrote Fortner. “It literally took months to make up my mind.”
