Nationwide Preparatory Mix permits highschool soccer gamers to showcase their abilities
YORK, Pennsylvania – It seems like high school football season is now year-round, especially for players looking to play in college.
A National Prep College Showcase was held at the York High Bearcats home on Tuesday evening. Players from across the region showed up for college coaches from all divisions.
If the trainers weren’t there in person, they can always watch the video later. Every exercise is filmed and every child is given a profile. It’s one stop shopping for the aspiring athletes and the programs on the talent search.
“The combine has been a really great experience so far,” said York High Senior Steven Roland. “Some of the exercises are new to me, but most of them are second-hand. All we do is really just hard work and effort and we just have fun out here.”
“We’re just trying to evaluate as many young men as possible in June before we get into our stuff in July,” admitted Frostburg State Head Football Coach DeLane Fitzgerald. “Given COVID and a lot of them who have a shortened season or no season at all in their sophomore or younger, it’s pretty important to get out of here and see them walking around.
