New York Jets host 48 highschool soccer packages on the Nike 11-ON match

Seton Hall Prep, New Jersey won the 7v7 championship on Friday at the New York Jets Nike 11 ON tournament fueled by Gatorade. Union High School (New Jersey) won the Lineman Challenge.

Both will compete in the New York Jets vs. Philadelphia Eagles Week 3 preseason game, known by the Jets as Play Football, which celebrates youth football at all levels. Both teams are recognized during the game.

The two-day event kicked off Thursday with 48 high school football teams from Connecticut, New Jersey and New York meeting in Morris County’s Central Park. The field of 48 has been reduced to 16 for Friday’s action.

The Canucks went 3-0 and had a great day in the Jets 7 on 7 / Linemen Challenge.

On Friday, the teams were placed in pools named after Jets Hall of Fame players – Curtis Martin, Don Maynard, Joe Namath, and Darrelle Revis.

Martin Pool – Hudson Catholic, JFK Memorial – Iselin, Long Branch and Ludlowe

Maynard Pool – Ramapo, Seton Hall Prep, Union, Westside

Namath Pool – Cedar Grove, DePaul Catholic, Newton, West Orange

Revis Pool – Madison, North Plainfield, St. Joseph’s Regional (Montvale), St. Peter’s Prep

Seton Hall Prep won the 7-on-7 championship with a 23-14 win over St. Peter’s Prep.

Great days at the @nyjets 11 On tournament !!! Our 7v7 team won 5 games, qualified for day 2 and lost to the eventual champion.

And our big ones ……. WIN the Lineman Challenge !!! All the hard work in the weight room is starting to pay off !!
