Raiders are internet hosting a highschool soccer workforce growth occasion within the Las Vegas space

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) – The professionals of the Las Vegas Raiders help young athletes on and off the field.

The team hosted a Nike 11-On event at Valley High School on Thursday – described as a school-based, team-oriented, character-building program.

16 high school football teams from southern Nevada were there.

“I think a lot of kids across the country dream of playing in the NFL,” said Rich Muraco, Liberty High School’s head coach.

“We’re fortunate to have a real NFL team in our community and all the things they do to get them involved somehow open their eyes that it’s not such a distant dream.”

“You can see these NFL players and see how big they are and compare yourself,” she added. “It inspires them to work even harder to one day make it at this level.”

The one-day event focuses on game time components, character development, film studies, nutrition, strength, and stamina.

The Raiders hosted the first Nike 11-On event at Clark High School last year.
