The SEC network has just taken a step to strengthen its analyst team for the upcoming college football season after the network hired former Georgia Bulldog and NFL tight-end Benjamin Watson.

It is currently unclear whether Tim Tebow will be an analyst for the network this season as he is currently battling to land a squad spot with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Watson’s role on the SEC Network includes appearances on SEC Now and SEC Football Final this season, and he begins his duties next week as SEC Media Days 2021 are slated to begin on Monday.

“I am very excited to have the opportunity to join ESPN and the SEC Network,” said Watson. “I look forward to engaging with my new colleagues and analyzing the best conference in college football. The SEC is close to my heart. Like all fans, I can’t wait for the kickoff weekend. “

Watson played in Athens from 2001 to 2003 before embarking on a 15-year career in the NFL. During his first season with the pros, Watson won a Super Bowl ring with the New England Patriots.
