Seton Corridor Prep takes first place within the Jets 11-ON Regional Excessive Faculty Soccer Match
This week, in Morris County’s Central Park, the New York Jets hosted the annual Nike 11-ON High School Football Tournament, fueled by Gatorade. The 11-ON tournament consisted of a traditional 7-on-7 tournament and a lineman challenge.
Seton Hall Prep won the 7v7 tournament after beating St. Peter’s Prep 23:14 in the championship game. Union High School won the Lineman Challenge. Seton Hall Prep and Union High School have been invited to attend the New York Jets vs. Philadelphia Eagles Week Three preseason game, the Jets-designated Play Football game that celebrates youth football at all levels. Both high schools are recognized during the game.
The Jets hosted the first round of the tournament on Thursday, July 8th. Forty-eight schools from New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut participated for free. The last 16 teams competed in the finals on Friday, July 9th. These 16 teams took part in both the 7-on-7 tournament and the Lineman Challenge. The lineman challenge consisted of strength, agility and dexterity competitions.
Each participant received drinks and snacks provided by Gatorade, as well as a pair of Jets Nike sports shorts. Players in each of the last 16 schools received 11-ON jerseys courtesy of Nike Jets. Semi-finalists Hudson Catholic, St. Peter’s Prep, Depaul Catholic and Seton Hall Prep also received Gatorade bottles and towels. The winning schools, Seton Hall Prep and Union High School, were invited to the New York Jets vs. Philadelphia Eagles Week Three preseason game, where they will be recognized for their achievements.
