Six Cajuns Soccer Video games Set To Air | Native sports activities information
LAFAYETTE – The Ragin ‘Cajuns soccer team will be televised abundantly in the 2021 season.
A total of six University of Louisiana football games, including the highly anticipated University of Texas season opener, were selected for national broadcasts during the 2021 season.
The prelude between the Ragin ‘Cajuns and Longhorns on Saturday September 4th will be broadcast nationwide on FOX. The kick-off is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
The following week, the team’s home opener against Nicholls (September 11th, 7pm) will be shown on ESPN3.
The Ragin ‘Cajuns will broadcast three home games on ESPN or ESPN2 in the middle of the week. These include Ohio (September 16, 7 p.m., ESPN), Appalachian State (Tuesday, October 12, 6:30 p.m., ESPN2), and Georgia State (Thursday, November 4, 6:30 p.m. ESPN).
The Ragin ‘Cajuns also have their weekday street game in the state of Arkansas (Thursday, October 21, 6:30 p.m. ESPNU).
Cajuns deserve Athlon Honors
The Ragin ‘Cajuns have achieved an SBC high pick of 20 in the Athlon Sports All-Sun Belt preseason teams released earlier this week.
Chris Smith (running back / general purpose / kick return), Max Mitchell (offensive line), Zi’Yon Hill (defensive line), Rhys Byrns (punter) and Eric Garror (punt return) have all received the first team award.
Levi Lewis (quarterback), O’Cyrus Torrence (offensive line), Lorenzo McCaskill (linebacker) and Bralen Trahan (safety) received the second team award.
Shane Vallot (center), Ken Marks (offensive line), Tayland Humphrey (defensive line), Percy Butler (safety) and Eric Garror (cornerback) won the third team award.
Kyren Lacy (wide receiver), Carlos Rubio (offensive line), Ferrod Gardner (linebacker), Chauncey Manac (linebacker) and Mekhi Garner (cornerback) were honored in fourth place by Athlon.
