Space Excessive Faculty’s soccer coaching will change for the 2021 season

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Eleven new soccer coaches will lead their teams in the area this fall.

Below is a list of the new men in charge of their respective football programs:

Boardman – Seth Antram
2020 record: 4-4
The Crestview graduate has spent the past few years serving as Chaney’s offensive coordinator. He’s going to try to flip a Boardman team that hasn’t had a successful season since 2018.

Campbell Memorial – Andrew King
Record 2020: 2-5
In mid-March, the Memorial Red Devils nominated their new head coach, Andrew King. He has been Poland’s offensive coordinator for the past two seasons.

Master – Tom Conrad
Record 2020: 2-3
Champion didn’t have to look far for his next head coach. Tom Conrad played for the Golden Flashes and was an assistant in the program last year.

East – Mark Assion
2020 record: 0-7
East hired Mark Assion, the former head coach at Jackson-Milton and most recently assistant coach at Chaney, in December. Assion led Jackson-Milton to her first playoff appearance in 2015.

Kennedy Catholic – John Reay
2020 record: 0-7
In mid-December, Kennedy Catholic hired John Reay, a Sharon alum, to coach the school. He is moving from Burrell and Valley High Schools to WPIAL, where he was an assistant.

Lake view – Sam Bellino
2020 record: 1-7
Sam Bellino gets his chance as head coach at rival Lakeview. Bellino has been the defensive coordinator at Hubbard for the past five years.

Freedom – Joe Simon
2020 record: 1-6
Liberty has chosen its own tab to guide their program into the new season. Joe Simon, a Liberty High School graduate and former assistant, takes over after serving as assistant to Steve Arnold’s Harding Raider team.

Mathews – Bill Drill
Record 2020: 3-7
Legendary trainer Bill Bohren will return to the sidelines in 2021 to lead the Mustangs. Drilling is five wins out of 300 for his career (295-171-6).

Poland – Tom Pavlansky
2020 record: 7-2
Long-time Lakeview head coach Tom Pavlansky is taking over the Poland program and will face his brother Mike (Canfield) in week 1. The Bulldogs were trained by his father, Dave, from 1968 to 1978.

Southington Chalker – Justin Kren
2020 record: 0-5
The former Wildcat player and assistant will take over the program this fall.

Tal Christian – Andy Hake
Record 2020: 2-6
Andy Hake set a record of 104-25 during his 11 years at Western Reserve. That’s a win rate of 80.6%. He is now taking over Valley Christian’s football program.
