Tailgating is slated to return to Arkansas State’s dwelling video games in 2021

The Arkansas State Department of Athletics has announced that all tailgating areas and activities at home A-State football games will be open and normal procedures will resume from the 2021 season.

While the precautions and protocols for the COVID-19 pandemic require a complete cessation of all tailgating activities in 2020, fans will be able to enjoy the same tailgating experience as in previous seasons without any new restrictions in the coming year.

The two leading tailgating locations including “Halsey Thrasher Harpole Tailgate City” and “Artents Tailgate Promenade” will both be available and feature numerous game day activities. In addition, tailgating will resume at Red Wolf Run near Johnson Avenue, student areas at The Pines, and personal locations where space permits.

Tailgate City is on the west side of the stadium on either side of the sidewalk that runs through Mike Watson Park, while Artent’s Tailgate Promenade is on the south-west side of the stadium near the current A-State practice fields.

The 2021 season will see the return of live music acts, interactive games, and additional activities to Artents Tailgate Promenade, which will also include the Hijinx Family Fun Zone.

The A-State track and field division will be announcing additional details this summer on tailgate options and activities, including specific areas to pitch tents and times for fans to set up their tailgate area before each game. Fans can contact the Red Wolves Foundation at 870-972-2401 for pricing and availability in the paid tailgate areas.

Arkansas State opens the 2021 season with two non-conference home games against Central Arkansas and Memphis on September 4 and September 11, respectively, and its home schedule also includes four Sun Belt Conference competitions against Coastal Carolina on October 7. , Louisiana (October 21), Appalachian State (November 6), and Texas State (November 27).
