Texas is included in essentially the most intriguing video games of the primary week of school soccer

The Steve Sarkisian era in Texas officially begins September 4th at the Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.

Sarkisian’s roster is immediately tested with an aspiring Louisiana team. The Rajin ‘Cajuns ended the 2020 season with a 10-1 aggregate record, including losing one of the top Big 12 opponents in Texas, Iowa.

Louisiana has appeared in many too early top 25 rankings for the 2021 season. ESPN lists them in 16th place overall. According to 247Sports, Texas and Louisiana will be one of the most fascinating games to see in the first week of college football games.

Steve Sarkisian won’t start his term in Texas with a loss to Louisiana, will he? One thing is for sure – the Longhorns won’t take the Ragin ‘Cajuns lightly, considering what Billy Napier’s program has accomplished over the past two seasons. A “disgruntled” win over Texas would surely get the voters to the polls, and turning to the group of five, the playoff selection committee could go a long way in determining Louisiana’s six New Year hopes.

Whether it’s the quality matchup itself or the excitement surrounding the Sarkisian era in Austin, there is sure to be an exhilarating atmosphere with no lack of storylines.

Louisiana, Texas, finished fourth overall, while Penn State in Wisconsin, Miami versus Alabama, and Georgia versus Clemson were among the top three matchups.

If the Longhorns hope to battle for a Big 12 title under an almost entirely new coaching staff in their first year, they can’t afford to lose any of their three non-conference games. Additionally, Texas will likely lose a conference game at best to stay on top of the Big 12 leaderboard.
