The School Soccer Watchlist season begins on Monday

College football watchlist season is just around the corner. From July 19-30, 16 price lists will be published by the National College Football Awards Association (NCFAA). Here is an overview of the dates for each watchlist, each award, and what the award is given for:

July 19: Bednarik Prize and Maxwell Prize

The Bednarik Award is presented to the College Defensive Player of the Year by Maxwell Football Club.

The Maxwell Award is presented to College Player of the Year by Maxwell Football Club.

20th of July: Davey O’Brien Prize

The Davey O’Brien Award is given to the best quarterback in the country by the Davey O’Brien Foundation.

21 July: Doak Walker Prize

The Doak Walker Award is presented by the PwC SMU Athletic Forum to the best running back in the country.

22nd of July: Biletnikoff Prize

The Biletnikoff Award is presented by the Tallahassee (Fla.) Quarterback Club Foundation to the country’s outstanding college recipient.

July 23: Mackey Award and Rimington Trophy

The Mackey Award is presented by Friends of John Mackey to the most outstanding tight end in the nation.

The Rimington Trophy is awarded to the leading center in the country by the Boomer Esiason Foundation.

July 26th: Jim Thorpe Prize and Butkus Prize

The Jim Thorpe Award is presented by the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame to the nation’s best defensive back.

The Butkus Award is given to the best linebacker in the country by the Butkus Foundation.

July 27th: Outland Trophy and Bronko Nagurski Trophy

The Outland Trophy is awarded by the Football Writers Association of America to the most outstanding interior lineman in the country.

The Bronko Nagurski Trophy is awarded by the Charlotte (NC) Touchdown Club to the nation’s most outstanding defensive player.

July 28th: Lou Groza Prize and Ray Guy Prize

The Lou Groza Award is given by the Palm Beach County (Fla.) Sports Commission to the best court kicker in the country.

The Ray Guy Award is presented to the College Punter of the Year by the Augusta (Ga.) Sports Council.

29th of July: Paul Hornung Award and Wuerffel Trophy

The Paul Hornung Award is presented by the Louisville, Ky. Sports Commission to the most versatile player in college football.

The Dice Trophy is awarded by the All Sports Association of Fort Walton Beach (Fla) to the player who best combines exemplary community service with athletic and academic achievement.

30th July: Walter Camp Prize

The Walter Camp Award is given by the Walter Camp Football Foundation to the most outstanding player in the country.
